Education focused key events:
3 May – Teaching Chinese Millennials: changes and challenges
Understand the differences across the three Chinese age groups.
11 May – Enhancing international student education and experience
Share some challenges faced by international students and identify solutions to real problems.
18 May – Rethinking Lecture 1 – Utilising flipped teaching and active learning
Keep students actively engaged in lectures using some of the suggestions outlined in this event.
25 May – Rethinking Lectures 2 – Moving away from traditional lectures
Consider some radical changes to the way that you deliver teaching with Professor David Read.

5 May – Becoming a Better Reviewer with Professor Cynthia Graham
Professor Graham, editor of “The Journal of Sex Research”, will provide an in-depth insight into becoming a better reviewer.
6 / 11 / 24 May – Active Bystander Training
Learn decision-making and personal effectiveness techniques to overcome the fear of tackling challenging situations.
9 / 10 / 16 / 17 May – Introductory Research Software Development with Python
Discover core skills and tools needed to produce reliable, sustainable, and reproducible research software.
17 May – In conversation with Gerd Gigerenzer: How to create & foster interdisciplinary research
