Sadly we have had to say goodbye to a member of staff who had worked for the University for many years and died last week.
Gurdeva Singh, known as Buddha, worked as a Security Officer and most recently a Domestic Assistant where he made many friends in the organisation for his character and sense of humour.
His Funeral will take place today (Monday 9 May) and respecting the family’s request the ceremony will be a small family gathering. However, Buddha’s funeral cortege will pass through University Road and stop for a short period outside Building 38/40 at approximately 13:00 to give staff an opportunity to pay their respects.
A book of remembrance will also available in Building 35 Level 2 offices between 10:00-15:00 if anyone wishes to share any memories or stories of Buddha.
