This spring, staff and students are being encouraged to celebrate and shape our key partnership with University Hospital Southampton (UHS) NHS Foundation Trust.
Within this special 70th anniversary year for the University, there are also many activities marking half a century since acquisition of university-hospital status and the first cohort of students at Southampton medical school.
There are two ways this month that we can join this celebration and continue to strengthen the partnership between our two great organisations:
Research past, present and future
UHS is hosting a virtual conference from Monday 23 to Thursday 26 May to celebrate 50 years of research and innovation. Sessions will explore the impact of clinical research over the last half century, what it means to be part of research today and look forward to the next 50 years.
The conference is open to anyone from our partnership involved or interested in research. You can register here. Attendees are welcome to join as much or as little as they can during the week. Recordings will be made available for all sessions.
There will also be a public-facing event on the final evening which has a separate registration process.
Become a Trust member
You can also show your support by signing up to UHS membership.
