In this Inaugural Lecture, Professor Jane Ball reflects on research she has undertaken over the past 30 years into the work lives and contributions made by nurses, to consider questions such as:
- What difference does nursing make to patient outcomes?
- What does ‘good’ nurse staffing look like?
- How does working in nursing affect nurses?
- Why do we have a global shortage of nurses?
