The event is a chance to speak to researchers who have taken advantage of the scheme and an opportunity to learn how it can help your research too.
Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAAs) are strategic awards provided to institutions to support knowledge exchange (KE) and embedding culture change from their ESRC funded research. IAAs allow Research Organisations to respond in flexible, responsive and creative ways, aligned to their institutional strategies and opportunities.
The six focused themes of the ESRC IAA are AI & the Data Economy; Healthy Ageing; Next Generation Services; Trust & Global Governance, Sustainability and Place. If you have research that has potential to make impact, falls within the Social Sciences remit, and are looking to add value to existing funding, you could be applicable to apply for an IAA! They are a chance to take advantage of new or unforeseen opportunities by providing a funding mechanism for engaging with external partners and accelerating impact!
Activities on the day:
With presentations from existing award holders to talks from leading members of Research and Innovation Services, this Showcase Day is designed to help academic researchers appreciate how the ESRC IAA scheme can be crucial in giving their research the boost it needs to achieve greater impact. Various ticket types are available, and a complementary lunch is provided!
