Following the launch of our University Strategy in January, a suite of strategic plans is currently in development, which will underpin and ensure successful delivery of the Strategy. There will be a range of opportunities to discuss the different plans over the coming months, with the approved plans being published in the summer.
Our vision for Education and Student Experience
We work in partnership with our students to create a University experience that equips them with the skills and mindset to flourish in the world of the future and become the leaders of tomorrow. Teaching and learning practices are flexible and inclusive and are enhanced by opportunities for engagement with our world-leading research and enterprise activity. During their time at the University, and afterwards as graduates, our students will feel supported to thrive, and enjoy a sense of pride and belonging as engaged members of our community.
As a community, it is our collective responsibility to continue to develop and deliver a transformative student experience to enable our students and alumni to thrive. What we teach and how we teach will be informed by our Triple Helix and the experiences and knowledge we gain from our global connections. The result will be a recognisable University of Southampton experience. We have created two separate strategic plans for Education and Student Experience to best encompass the variety of activity captured in each of these areas. However, these plans are inextricably linked and have been developed in harmony to realise our vision, coordinate effort and underpin our University Strategy. For this reason they can be found presented together on the Education and Student Experience Strategic Plans page.
