In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx returns to Southampton in the Turner Sims concert hall on Saturday 18 June 2022 from 15:00 to 21:00.
Speakers and audience will connect on Climate Change and Covid, explore ideas on the use of AI in archaeology and the psychology of bipolar disorder, dig into discussions on anti-racism and the importance of food for connecting communities, and hear about the amazing human foot, learning to love bugs, and Southampton, the migrant city.
There will also be a couple of short musical performances. During the breaks you can try some optional activities including a mini-nature walk and TV quiz show-style quizzes. The Turner Sims bar will be open throughout.
The event closes with a reception with some complimentary drinks and refreshments, while discussing the ideas you’ve heard with each other and the speakers.
You can book your ticket on the Turner Sims website.
Standard tickets are £20. Student and under-18 tickets cost £10.
The talks will be British Sign Language interpreted. Please note that photography and recording will be taking place in the auditorium.
