Education focused key events:
16 / 17 June – Education and Student Experience Strategic Plan: all staff open meetings
Read and review the draft strategic plans and participate in one of two virtual open meetings with Professor Deborah Gill and Kieron Broadhead.
20 June – Teaching Critical Thinking Skills in Higher Education
This is to help teachers in HE to develop critical thinking teaching techniques and support students in the acquisition of higher cognitive competencies.
23 June – PREP Framework Briefing
Help guide you into deciding which of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) Descriptors it would be appropriate for you to apply for.
Research focused key events:
7 / 10 June – Research Strategic Plan: Second stage all staff open meetings
Join a follow up discussion about the Research Strategic Plan with Professor Mark Spearing.
7 / 16 / 22 June – Active Bystander Training
Learn decision-making and personal effectiveness techniques to overcome the initial fear of tackling challenging situations.
10 / 20 June – Compassionate Inclusive Leadership Training Workshop
Develop ways of working that support compassionate and inclusive cultures in this two-part workshop.
13 / 14 June – Introductory Research Software Development with Python
Discover core skills and tools needed to produce reliable, sustainable, and reproducible research software.
27 June – Festival of Open Research
Celebrating the open research practices taking place here at the University of Southampton.
