Japan Society for the Promotion of Science: Information Briefing

Are you interested in developing your research links in Japan? The Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) offers a variety of grants and fellowship programmes for researchers at all stages of their career and in all fields of research, including the humanities and social sciences.

You can join an information session on Wednesday 15 June to find out more.

JSPS Director Professor Naoto Kobayashi will talk on the opportunities for our researchers to engage in collaborations with Japan, with the objective of promoting funding opportunities available to our Early Career Researchers and academic community.

About the JSPS

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (日本学術振興会, Nihon Gakujutsu Shinkō Kai, JSPS) is an Independent Administrative Institution in Japan, established for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science in all fields of the natural and social sciences and the humanities. Its principal aim is to foster a relationship of confidence and trust in the international scientific community.

JSPS seeks to:

  • Foster the next generation while enhancing the education and research functions of universities,
