Obituary for Dr Jatin Pancholi

We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of former colleague Dr Jatin Pancholi from Southampton Business School (SBS) who has sadly died.

Dr Jatin Pancholi

Professor Laura Costanzo, Head of SBS, has the following tribute:

“Dr Pancholi was a Principal Teaching Fellow in Accounting and was a very valuable member of the Accounting Department and SBS. All students and colleagues would like to remember Jatin for his high academic standards and genuine character, particularly his joyous spirit, collegial and gentle attitudes that made him a very approachable and pleasant lecturer and academic colleague to work with. He touched the heart of everyone, students, and colleagues, and was, indeed, liked by everyone.

“Jatin taught core accounting modules on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and he was enthusiastic and passionate about his profession. He was a fantastic member of the MBA faculty too, always popular with his students, who I am sure have deeply appreciated the time that he dedicated to them.

“There is no doubt that through his excellence in his teaching and learning practice, Jatin made a positive impact on the learning experience of our students, as demonstrated by their positive assessment of his education delivery and his nomination for the Virtual Learning Environment Award in 2021. It is through this positive impact on students and colleagues alongside his gentle character that he will stay with us and will keep his memory alive”.
