You can now apply to become a Student Ambassador to work at the upcoming Open Days. Open Days are a chance for prospective students and their families to look around the University to help them decide whether they want to join our Southampton community.
Becoming a Student Ambassador is a brilliant opportunity to share your love of the University, whilst gaining experience and skills that future employers are looking for.
Your role as an ambassador
Student Ambassadors play an important part on the day, the role may include:
- Directing visitors
- Answering visitor questions
- Assisting in exhibition areas
- Giving tours
- Registering prospective students and:
- Showcasing halls of residence.
Upcoming Open Day dates and venues:
- Saturday 18 June: Winchester School of Art only
- Saturday 2 July: Southampton campuses
- Sunday 3 July: Southampton campuses
- Saturday 10 September: Southampton campuses
- Saturday 8 October: All campuses
- Sunday 9 October: Southampton campuses
- Wednesday 26 October: Winchester School of Art only
- Saturday 19 November: Winchester School of Art only
Further information and how to apply
You will be paid £9.18 per hour (plus holiday pay) if you are under 23yrs, or £9.50 per hour (plus holiday pay) if you are over 23yrs, and:
- You can work just one day or all days if you are available
- You need to be available to work all day – we will contact you to confirm shift times
- You will need to attend a training session
