Plans start from £10.61 per month, with the flexibility to visit your own dentist or one from Bupa’s national network and a simple claims process. The policy covers preventative and restorative treatment.
There are some added benefits to the scheme when you join from 1 July 2022:
- New level 5 option: Bupa have introduced a new top level of cover this year, which includes 80% up to £3,000 on Restorative dental treatment. See the membership guide page 8-9 for more information.
- Emergency dental treatment: For levels 1 to 5, emergency dental treatment benefit to £1,000 per policy year which consists of four emergencies where you can claim up to £250 per emergency. This benefit includes cover for prescription changes and emergency dentist call out fees. See the membership guide page 8-9 for more information.
- Orthodontic treatment: For levels 1 to 5, the Orthodontic benefit to includes treatment provided by your dentist (as well as an orthodontic specialist). It must begin with an initial consultation and Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) assessment in person. See the membership guide page 8-9 for more information.
- Virtual routine examinations: Preventative cover includes a virtual routine examination benefit enabling you to claim up to £20 per policy year towards the cost. See the membership guide page 8-9 for more information.
Sign up here Bupa Dental Plan – application/amendment form 2022-2023 by Friday 24 June. Your dental policy will start on 1 July 2022, with the first payment at the end of July. Please note that you are not able to amend or cancel your policy until the next membership window in June 2023, unless you should leave the University.
