Following on from last week’s post announcing that teaching in the Sir James Matthews (SJM) building will begin from 3 October, we have now released a new SharePoint with further information to support those who will have teaching at SJM.
The SharePoint contains photos of the spaces, a floor plan, and details of the current facilities as well as outlining some of the proposed work and developments. We will continue to update this over the coming weeks.
SJM will, from day one, have an iSolutions support desk, a Student Hub, a café run by our own catering teams and a range of teaching and educational spaces. Find out more on the facilities page.
Over Semester 1 we will be gathering feedback and continuing to progress our thinking about the best uses of the space for our staff and students, and ensure we create a vibrant campus embedded in our city centre.
For those colleagues who would like to visit the space ahead of the teaching term, there will also be familiarisation sessions available, and we will share the dates for this shortly.
Please note: the SJM building will be labelled as building 135 on many of our systems. On timetables, rooms in SJM will be displayed following the usual format so will appear as SJM / 135 / room name.
