In 2021 the University provided an opportunity for staff to purchase additional annual leave. This is on offer again throughout September ahead of the start of our 2022/23 leave year (October 2022 – September 2023).
This month, colleagues are invited to purchase up to a week’s annual leave, subject to specific limitations outlined in the policy. The deadline for applications is 30 September 2022, with applications confirmed following line manager approval and the necessary affordability validation checks. Additional annual leave will be paid for via a regular monthly deduction, spread in equal instalments across the holiday year.
If you’re interested in purchasing annual leave, but not quite sure how much extra you’ll need, or if you miss this month’s application window, don’t worry – there’ll be another opportunity to apply in March 2023.
