Invitation to the Space at Southampton conference

We are delighted to announce our inaugural Space at Southampton conference, which takes place on  Wednesday 28 September 09.30 – 17.00 in the Turner Sims Concert Hall.

Keynote speakers are David Pile and Jeremy Giampaoli of Northrop Gruman Space UK.

Have you ever wondered if we could get all our energy from space? Or wanted to hear the latest news on black holes? Would you like to see how the plasma technology that keeps air clean in spaceships can also work in water? Or learn how satellite data can help us see under an ice shelf? The conference will feature individual talks, panels and parallel sessions and will showcase a broad range of the exciting space research going on across the University.

There will be a chance to meet space companies and hear about their collaboration with Space at Southampton and about their own work as well as an opportunity to gain insight into the current commercialisation landscape for space. And if you were wondering how the UK spaceports are getting on, you can find out more and enjoy an exclusive look at some of the stunning images that the James Webb telescope is sending back to earth all the way from Jupiter.

Everyone is welcome but it is necessary to register.
