Now in its fifth year and under the theme of ‘Women on Business’, this year’s Dame Helen Alexander Memorial Lecture on Thursday 6 October at 18:00 will be with Baroness Minouche Shafik, Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science. You can book your place on Eventbrite.
The event will be in the style of a virtual fireside chat to discuss: The Social Contract and Women’s Place in the Economy, it will be hosted by Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor-in-chief of The Economist and followed by an audience Q&A.
Dame Helen Alexander was the Chancellor of the University of Southampton between 2011 and 2017. Throughout her career, she steadfastly championed diversity and fought tirelessly to improve gender balance in business.
Supported by Helen’s family and the organisations with which she was associated – the University of Southampton, the CBI, The Economist Group, and Informa – the evening will provide a wonderful opportunity to hear from and ask questions directly to Baroness Shafik.
