As part of our commitment to keeping our community safe, the University is offering a free flu vaccine to members of staff/PGRs who are not eligible to receive a free flu jab from the NHS. This includes all 18 – 49 year olds without a qualifying underlying health condition*, or who are otherwise ineligible through the NHS scheme.
Vaccines will be administered by the local Highfield Pharmacy on Monday 7 November and Tuesday 8 November from 08:00 – 16:00 at 26 University Road (opposite Highfield Pharmacy).
As there are a limited number of vaccines available, eligible staff/PGRs are encouraged to book an appointment ASAP. Bookings are open until all appointments are taken.
On the day of their vaccination, eligible staff will need to bring a completed consent form and their staff ID to their appointment.
*Free vaccinations under the NHS are offered to the following individuals, who are therefore excluded from our University’s clinic offer:
- All children aged 2 to 3
- All primary and secondary school pupils up to and including Year 11
- Those aged six months to under 50 years in clinical risk groups
- Pregnant women
- Those aged 50 years and over
- People in residential care
