The ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) team is pleased to invite you to an academic-industry event: Survive and Thrive: Navigate a turbulent business environment by harnessing academic-industry collaboration. The event aims to demonstrate our researchers’ expertise to minimise the impact of the current turbulent environment on businesses and to develop collaborations to thrive.
Date and time: Thursday 13 October 2022, 12:30 – 16:30
Location: Hartley Suite, Building 38, Highfield Campus, University of Southampton
The team is keen to welcome researchers from a wide range of subject areas to engage in this valuable Knowledge Exchange space. Visit the Eventbrite page to register.
Pump-priming funding
Attendees will be able to apply for pump-priming funding from the University’s IAA award from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to develop academic-industry collaborations. Typically, projects are in the £3-4k range, but up to £6k is available per project with justification. Awards will be announced in the week commencing 14 November with projects running up until 28 February 2023. Beyond these pump-primed projects the team would encourage and support collaborations to apply for larger pots of money, e.g., ESRC/Innovate UK or to embark on industry funded consultancy/collaboration agreements.
On the day you will hear about the various mechanisms of collaboration, funding opportunities and the support available from our dedicated team.
