We’re pleased to announce publication of updated standardised meeting templates as an output of the ongoing Modernising the Governance (MtG) project.
Helping to improve the University’s ability to make informed decisions, the updated templates will enable papers to flow more easily across the organisation and should reduce the need for further information to be provided.
The latest version of the templates – Report, Agenda, Minutes and Terms of Reference, as well as a guidance document on their use – are now available to download from the Governance Services SharePoint site.
Accessibility
Specific review of the templates was undertaken to ensure that accessibility best practice is followed, meaning the contents of the templates are easy for people with disabilities to read and edit. As a result, the overall appearance of the templates is quite different from the previous versions.
Functionality
The templates were also reviewed and reworked by members of Governance Services with extensive input from senior officers, who themselves sit across various University Committees and formal meeting bodies.
To ensure these templates meet users’ needs on an ongoing basis, the Agenda, Terms of Reference and Minutes templates are scheduled for further review in 2025 or earlier, dependent upon staff feedback and/or urgent institutional need.
