In April we launched our new Staff Engagement Survey, administrated by People Insight. Since the outcomes were published, the HR Business Partners have been working with senior managers to develop action plans and engage with colleagues to put these into place. These activities range across the community, responding to local needs, and include new sustainability champions, wellbeing support, personal development initiatives and opportunities to meet and engage with senior leaders in an informal setting to ask questions.
So that we can gauge progress, we committed to running the survey again six months later. The second survey will run from 7-25 November.
The survey offers you a chance to provide feedback on a range of topics, from development opportunities and how enabled you feel to do your role, to your views on key priorities in the organisation such as sustainability. The data is then aggregated to ensure anonymity and provides Deans, Heads of Schools and Directors with a clear dashboard showing strengths and areas for improvement. Following your feedback from the first survey, a free text question will also be included in this survey.
The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. We would really appreciate everyone’s contribution, as your responses provide valuable indicators to help focus attention in further shaping and delivering plans for improvement over the next 12 months, as well as showing if early actions have already made an impact.
All responses provided are strictly confidential and the information cannot be traced back to an individual. The survey has been approved through the University’s Ethics process (AREQA), the approval number for the staff engagement survey is: 2022/269.
