This year at the University, as we approach the month, you can learn how to support our disabled community on campus and beyond, take part in a competition, and get insight from those who have entered the workplace with a disability, specific learning difference or long-term health condition.

It’s Everyone’s Journey – Department for Transport behaviour campaign
Using public transport can be more challenging for disabled people, but small changes from other passengers could make a big difference. That is why the University bus service is encouraging our community to join others and make small changes such as:

  • Being prepared to give up a disabled/priority seat when on board.
  • Being prepared to help each other on board.
  • Keeping the noise down when you are on the phone or listening to music.

Visit the Unilink bus website to read more about how they are making transport more inclusive.
