The Hartley Library at Highfield and the Health Services Library at Southampton General Hospital will both be open during the holiday period for access to a friendly team of staff, warm study spaces, free wi-fi, borrowing and returning print books and printing and scanning.

Winchester School of Art Library and the National Oceanographic Library will both close on Thursday 22 December and reopen on Tuesday 3 January.

Laptop Loans
Self-service laptop loans will be suspended from 15 December so an essential audit of the equipment can be completed. Please speak to a member of the team if you have any queries or problems about laptops.

Archives and Special Collections
Open access books are available to browse and borrow during library opening hours, although our Archives and Special Collections team will not be on site for any specialist enquiries. The Archives and the Search Room will close at 16:00 on Thursday 22 December and reopen at 10:00 on Tuesday 3 January 2023. Enquiries and search room bookings can be sent to [email protected] and will be answered when staff return to work on Tuesday 3 January.
