Wendy White, our interim Director of Library services, has been appointed to the role of Director of Library and Learning Services.
Wendy started her career at the British Library of Political and Economic Science, the main library at the London School of Economics. Since joining the University of Southampton, she has worked in a number of roles involving our collections, curriculum development and projects relating to our learning spaces and environment. She has also held leadership roles relating to three research assessments (RAE and REF).
Wendy said:
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead Library and Learning Services at such an exciting time as we deliver our new University Strategy. We have the opportunity to develop next generation services that are not just digital or physical but are enablers for a holistic learning experience. Working collaboratively with students, staff and civic partners we want to create together inspiring environments that foster a sense of community and facilitate the knowledge creation that will truly achieve the remarkable and build an inclusive world.”
