Student Innovation Projects: Industry experience in just four weeks

Open to all students studying any degree, Student Innovation Projects are designed for you to gain industry experience in just four weeks.  

You will have the opportunity to:  

  • Work part-time on a real-life business issue in a small team of student consultants, 
  • Gain invaluable work experience for your CV, 
  • Develop a range of transferable skills including business acumen, team working and problem solving, 
  • Make a real impact on a local business or non-profit organisation.

Attributes of a truly sustainable development With the company’s aim to tackle climate change, research and identify sustainability initiatives that could be applied to future new build housing developments.

Competitor analysis Work with a company that provides social media training and crisis management to identify the different types of competitors to the business and make recommendations on how to develop their market position to stand out amongst the crowd.

Market research into Non-Fungible Tokens This project will allow you to work alongside a digital design studio to create a step-by-step outline of the process of selling Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) from design to listing, analysing the market of NFTs, their risks and the current and future projected trends.

Multi-platform digital marketing strategy If you are interested in digital marketing, work with an innovative equestrian brand to expand their reach globally via a multi-platform marketing approach by identifying their target market and proposing tactics to increase engagement.

Market research to support a start-up’s growth Help to increase the reach of a recruitment platform for the UK’s essential workforce by proposing a social media strategy, suggesting branding ideas and sharing recommendations to target 18 to 50 year olds seeking employment within the health and social care sector.

Expanding a brand’s demographic Work on a project for a market leader in indoor plants to expand their audience and reach a new, younger demographic by defining a marketing strategy and campaign launch.
