The National Student Survey (NSS), Southampton Student Survey (SSS), and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) all open from Thursday 9 February to Sunday 30 April 2023.
Why survey students?
Providing the very best student experience is one of our top priorities and reflecting our students’ voices is integral in ensuring we are living up to this promise.
Student surveys are an important tool in capturing student feedback and help us shape our planning and implementation processes to directly enhance the experience of our students.
Who is it for?
NSS is open to all eligible final-year undergraduate students, and invitations will be sent via email from Ipsos with a personalised link to take part.
SSS is open to all non-final year undergraduates, and PTES surveys Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students. All these students will receive an email with a personalised link from The Student Hub on Thursday 9 February.
How long is it for?
The survey window runs from Thursday 9 February to Sunday 30 April. We will be encouraging students to participate as early as possible, particularly for NSS, as Ipsos will begin making follow up telephone calls to encourage participation from Tuesday 21 February 2023.
How can I get involved?
The Student Communications Team have produced a SharePoint site with easy-to-use promotional material to help staff reach all students and amplify the value of taking part locally – this is generally most effective at raising awareness of the survey. Visit the SharePoint site for resources and guidance to help you encourage students to take part in the survey.
The surveys will also be promoted centrally through digital screens and display materials around our Southampton and Winchester campuses, to encourage participation across the University.
Please encourage students in your faculty to take part in the survey.
