Microsoft 365 (M365) offers a range of file storage applications making it easier for you to collaborate with other students on campus, or study independently at home.

Using your university login, you can download M365 to your personal device and store your files on the cloud-based platform, OneDrive.

Benefits of using the University OneDrive

  • OneDrive provides a large storage space of 5TB per user, allowing you to store many documents during your studies – your personal OneDrive may be restricted to the free 5GB.
  • Files can be accessed remotely when connected to the internet, letting you study away from campus.
  • You can easily set up permissions on files with the ability to securely collaborate with others.
  • Storing your files on the OneDrive allows for quick syncing, backing up of documents on a regular basis and monitoring for any cyber security threats.

As well as OneDrive, M365 also offers SharePoint and Teams as alternative file storage options. If you are working with a large group of individuals, you may benefit from using SharePoint or Teams.
