David Winstanley has been appointed as the new Executive Director Student Life.
David will take leadership responsibility for enhancing student inclusion and wellbeing, developing inclusive student communities across our campuses, and helping our students fulfil their potential and go on to their chosen career path when they leave our university. His expertise will improve student experience from their first enquiry through to graduation and beyond.
David moves into this new role from his position as the University’s Director of Global Recruitment and Admissions.
David said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed to the Executive Director Student Life role and look forward to working with colleagues across the university to ensure we deliver an inclusive student experience that attracts the best students and that enables them to thrive – whilst they’re here at Southampton but also into their future careers. Through our Strategic Plans we’ve articulated some ambitious goals in this space and I’m excited about bringing the teams together to deliver them!”
