Southampton Geospatial is delighted to invite you to its next event ‘Geospatial insight – The women transforming our world’ on Friday 10 March 12.30 – 16.00 in Building 100 (Room 4013) and online via Teams. Tickets can be booked on Eventbrite.
The Southampton Geospatial initiative, formally launched in October 2022, provides a single point of access to interdisciplinary geospatial expertise, tools and datasets at the University. We are building a supportive and inclusive geospatial community within the university and in collaboration with external partners to promote excellence in geospatial education, research, knowledge exchange and enterprise.
Southampton Geospatial are organising a series of events to showcase excellent geospatial activities within the university and outside, to develop stronger networks and generate ideas for interdisciplinary geospatial projects. This event includes a series of presentations from colleagues working both within the university and in public and private organisations, providing an overview of their ‘geospatial journey’ and current work, followed by a panel discussion on “Opportunities and Challenges in Geospatial”.
The aim for this event is to provide support and encouragement, and to build professional networks – particularly among women starting and navigating their geospatial careers. We anticipate everyone working in geospatial will have much to learn, and welcome all to attend.
Everyone is welcome, but it is necessary to register.
Full event programme and ticket reservation can be found on Eventbrite.
