Boldrewood campus remains closed but water supplies are returning

Following the SUSSED post announcing the temporary closure of Boldrewood campus yesterday, the campus will remain closed today. Water supplies have started to return overnight, but it will take time for the system to come back fully online with consistent pressure.

Colleagues and students are asked to work or study from home if possible or to make use of alternative work/study spaces at other campuses, such as Highfield.

Visit Day activities which were due to take place this weekend on Boldrewood have been postponed and visitors have been contacted with an alternative date. The rest of the Visit Day will go ahead as planned.

We are hopeful that the Boldrewood campus can re-open as normal on Monday morning. If we are unable to confirm that later today, we will do so on Sunday afternoon.

No other campuses have been affected, but we are continuing to monitor closely.

Water supplies have also been returning to Glen Eyre Halls of Residence, again it will take a while for the system to be fully re-pressurised. As a precaution, we will keep on site until Monday morning the portable toilets and water bowsers we put in place yesterday.

This is a continually evolving situation which we are monitoring closely and we will update when further information is available. Please keep an eye on the Southern Water Twitter, and the Southern Water incident page.
