The UK government has announced an official national moment of reflection tomorrow (Friday 24 February) to recognise one year since the start of the Ukraine war.
For those in our community who would like to pause and reflect tomorrow:
- There will be a national one minute silence at 11:00. Some colleagues may choose to gather in Jubilee Plaza on Highfield Campus.
- The Lord Mayor of Southampton will host a peace vigil at 19:00 tomorrow evening at the Queen’s Peace Fountain, East Park.
We are a supportive and inclusive community, and for us, the day marks a moment of reflection and care for all those who have been affected by the Ukraine war.
