Southampton Science and Engineering Festival (SOTSEF) returns this month

Southampton Science and Engineering Festival (SOTSEF) returns this British Science Week 2023 with an exciting programme of free live events that explores the world of science, engineering and beyond.

From 10 – 19 March, you can join researchers at the University of Southampton to celebrate the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), with film screenings (from 1966’s Fantastic Voyage to Jurassic World Dominion in 2022), a live debate on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and an evening in conversation with artist David Blandy at John Hansard Gallery.

The Festival will reach its peak with Science and Engineering Day, the University’s renowned family-friendly event packed with 130+ activities on Saturday 18 March, 10:30 – 16:30, at Highfield Campus and Boldrewood Innovation Campus. During the day, visitors will be able to choose between live talks, workshops, science shows, laboratory tours and more than a hundred interactive hands-on activities, run by researchers, public engagement professionals, community groups and associations. Tickets are free, but registration through Eventbrite is required.
