Nominations are open for the first-ever Student Experience Awards 2023 – introduced to recognise, reward, and celebrate students who go above and beyond their academic studies to contribute to our cultures and values.
While it is recognised that students’ academic achievements are hugely important, we also want to recognise students for their contributions outside of their studies, advocating for positive change, and ultimately making the University and beyond a better place to be.
Award categories
To capture and celebrate such co-curricular achievements, the award categories this year are:
- One Southampton Student Award
- Student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Sustainability Champion Award
- Outstanding Leadership Award
- Student Enterprise Award
- Sport Scholar of the Year
- Global Impact Award
- Student Ambassador of the Year
- University of Southampton Recognition Award

All staff and students are eligible to nominate a student by Sunday 26 March 2023 to shine a light on amazing student achievements.
