Staff and students are invited to take part in a study to be carried out as part of a PhD project based in the School of Electronics and Computer Science.
The focus of the study by PhD student Lokesh Singh is in understanding how human performance is affected by agents (AI) performance and induced time constraint-based stress. The study will be carried out in an in-person environment.
Participants should be:
- Aged between 18-50
- Able to participate in person
Participants should not be:
- Pregnant
- Taking medicine for depression or anxiety
Participants can attend any sessions at any of the times. Each session will last approximately 25-30 minutes. A doodle poll link will be shared among interested participants to let them select a suitable time. This activity involves measuring individual performance.
Participants will be called to attend the in-person experiment at a designated place (Highfield Campus, Building 32). The task and procedure will be explained by the researcher. It is a google sheet-based task. Participants will be asked to fill in questionnaires.
Sessions will be held from Monday 20 March 2023 to Friday 24 March 2023:
First Session (Morning)
08:00 – 12:00 (Participant can choose any 30 minute slot based on availability)
Second Session (Afternoon)
13:00 – 17:00 (Participant can choose any 30 minute slot based on availability)
Participants will be compensated for their time with a minimum of a £10 Amazon voucher, which could increase to £20 based on performance in the task, and the winning participant will be awarded £30 prize money based on their performance.
If you are interested in participating, please email: Lokesh Singh [email protected]
