Nominations for the Student Experience Awards 2023 close at midnight on Sunday 26 March, so make sure you submit your nominations this week to celebrate a student, friend or peer for their inspiring achievements outside of their studies.
All staff and students are eligible to nominate a student.
These awards have been introduced by the University for the first time this year to recognise and reward our fantastic students for their positive contributions towards the University community or other local, national or international communities.
You can nominate yourself or another student for the following award categories:
| One Southampton Student Award | This award recognises a student who is helping make our university a great place to study and work, creating a supportive culture between students, staff and the local community and fostering the One Southampton community. |
| Student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award | This award recognises a student who has delivered a specific project initiative or event that significantly contributes to the enhancement of equality, diversity and inclusion or widening participation and social mobility at the University and beyond, whilst championing inclusive behaviour or allyship. |
| Sustainability Champion Award | This award recognises a student who has worked hard at implementing a sustainability project, initiative or event and whose involvement has made a positive impact be that on their peers, the University or their local community in relation to the environment. |
| Outstanding Leadership Award | This award recognises a student who has shown exemplary leadership skills, including through volunteering, peer support, mentoring and/or leading a team or project, demonstrating that their work has benefitted fellow students, the University or the local community. |
| Student Enterprise Award | This award recognises students that have demonstrated creativity, innovation and enterprising skills and behaviours, including making a significant contribution to an organisation through offering creative solutions to challenges they face through a student innovation project, placement or internship, developing or setting up a new business, start-up or social enterprise or contributing to the student enterprise ecosystem at the University of Southampton. |
| Global Impact Award | This award recognises a student who has worked with a global focus, and specifically aims to recognise excellence amongst those who have actively engaged in the development and promotion of international or intercultural activities, awareness or competence. |
| Student Ambassador of the Year | This award recognises a student who has been employed as a Student Ambassador and has stood out by going above and beyond their assigned duties, by supporting peers, representing the University across various events and has actively worked to maximise their impact and excel in their role. |

- SUSU Society & Volunteering and Team Southampton Sports Awards – Vote for a society, volunteer, sportsperson or sports club who has gone above and beyond this year and deserves an award. Closes on Monday 27 March at 16:00.
