Solent Mind Wellbeing Workshops

The Centre for Higher Education (CHEP) is working with Solent Mind (The leading Hampshire mental health charity) to deliver a range of workshops in support of research staff wellbeing. They are funded through Research England and are open to all ERE staff, research staff and ECRs.

The following sessions are suitable for research staff and ECRs:

Thursday 20 April 14:00 – 15:00 Beat the burnout (online)

What does burnout mean and how can we switch off and relax? This session will give you some practical tips and techniques.

Thursday 27 April 10:30 – 11:30 Sleep (online)

Many of us struggle to get a good night’s sleep.  This will examine sleep problems and the science behind them and arm you with some practical relaxation techniques to help you sleep better.

Wednesday 10 May 14:00 – 16:00 Five ways to wellbeing (in-person)

Join in the discussion about the early warning signs of poor mental health and how you can help others.

Wednesday 24 May 14:30 – 13:00 Dealing with change (online)

Discover some tools to help you deal with change: going back into the office and getting back to the things we used to do without a second thought.

Tuesday 13 June 14:00 – 15:00 Looking back and moving forward (online)

Reflect on the past year, with a focus on holding on to positive changes as we move forward.

Wednesday 26 April or Tuesday 11 July 09:30 – 13:00 Managing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace (in-person)

This course increases confidence around talking about Mental Health & Wellbeing at work, and how to prevent or support sickness or absence with practical tools.
