Trans Day of Visibility (TDoV) celebrates the accomplishments, contributions, and resilience of trans and non-binary people. This year, the TDoV campaign is “I Am Enough.” The campaign aims to affirm and empower trans people and raise awareness and allyship among cis (non-trans) people.
To celebrate the day, the trans flag will be raised on campus tomorrow, Friday 31 March, at 09:30 on Jubilee Plaza. Staff and students are invited to join the Pulse LGBT+ Network in raising the trans flag followed by a coffee social in the Library cafe from around 09:45.
Trans Day of Visibility is a great opportunity to learn more about what it means to be trans or non-binary, and how to be an ally. We have lots of resources to help:
- Listen to Trans and non-binary experiences in the workplace – Talking inclusion with… | Podcast on Spotify from our partners Inclusive Employers
- The Library has curated a selection of LGBTQ+ resources, where you can read stories from the trans and non-binary community.
- Read our toolkit on LGBTQ+ Inclusive Language and using pronouns.
