Inclusive Education Practices workshop

Are you looking to create a more inclusive learning environment for your students? 

Join Vanessa Mar-Molinero (CHEP) and Tamsyn Smith (Digital Learning) as they explore strategies for creating a welcoming and accessible environment by identifying threshold concepts and barriers, planning for inclusive changes, and applying the “plus one” mindset to create positive outcomes. 

By the end of this event, you should be able to: 

  • Identify who your learners are and how best to support them 
  • Discuss the importance of inclusive education practices 
  • Relate and articulate the benefits of designing an inclusive learning and teaching experience and how this aligns with University strategies and our legal obligations 
  • Identify and reflect on threshold concepts and barriers 
  • Design and plan an inclusive change in your practice 
  • Formulate a positive action outcome by applying the “plus one” mindset to your area of education
  • Make connections with other people across the University and build your network
