The Staff Wellbeing team, part of the Health, Safety & Risk Directorate are delivering events in support of Stress Awareness Month.
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992 to raise awareness of the causes and symptoms of our modern-day stressors and what we might be able to do about them. It is the time when we have an opportunity for an open conversation on the impact of stress. Dedicated time to removing the guilt, shame, and stigma around mental health. To talk about stress, and its effects and open up about our mental and emotional state with friends, families, colleagues, and professionals.
Staff Wellbeing are delivering a number of workshops designed to raise awareness of stress in the workplace:
- Mini Health Checks – April 18 & 27
- Stress Awareness Workshop for all colleagues – April 20 & 27
- Stress Awareness Workshop for line managers – April 20
- Breathing Techniques | Tune into Your Body – April 20
We want to help everyone feel comfortable to have open and honest conversations, never feeling that the subject is taboo or off limits. We also want to provide you with the resources available to support you in the workplace. For more information and to register for an event, head over to our Staff Wellbeing Events SharePoint page.
