The Jubilee Sports Centre Extension on Highfield campus is now progressing at pace. A key part of this project involves essential works to the drainage system, which runs through Valley Gardens.
To facilitate this the Gardens will need to be closed temporarily for eight weeks from 15 May – 10 July 2023.
This is a beautiful natural space and to ensure it is disturbed as little as possible and reinstated both sympathetically and to the standards set by Natural England, the contractors are working with an ecological consultant and our own University Landscaping Team.
Our apologies for the disruption, particularly at this time of year, and we look forward to you being able to enjoy this space again after this short hiatus.
