As we enter the final term of the academic year, it is important for you to prioritise your wellbeing and look after your mental health wherever you can. Below you can find workshops and activities to help you, as well as how to access 24/7 support if you need it.
Pets as Therapy workshops
The Student Hub Wellbeing Team run regular workshops with volunteers from the Pets as Therapy charity at the Wellbeing Centre (28 University Road, Highfield Campus).
These workshops have proven beneficial to students who have attended previously. When asked what they enjoyed most, one student said:
“It was relaxing, the dogs were friendly and calm, and they really wanted to interact with everyone. They didn’t seem tired or like they didn’t want to be there in any way, which I think is the most important thing for the workshop to be enjoyable for everyone.”
Get involved and request a place
Don’t miss the chance to boost your wellbeing by spending 30 minutes with friendly therapy dogs such as Cassie and Ella (pictured below), and chatting to the volunteers.
