The Digital Interventions Group aims to support any research and teaching across the University that uses digital technology to improve health and wellbeing. Find out more on the DIG website.

This new group has been set up by Professor Lucy Yardley, who sat on the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE). As co-chair of the group that provided behavioural input to SAGE, Professor Yardley supplied advice and expertise throughout the pandemic, particularly in relation to supporting people to implement measures designed to reduce the impact of the virus, and was awarded an OBE. She is continuing her work in this new group to help change behaviour with healthcare and digital interventions.

DIG has already successfully supported many research projects across the university in several ways, including:

  • Developing apps and websites to help change people’s behaviour.
  • Creating digital software and platforms to develop and trials healthcare interventions.
  • Supporting the successful implementation of digital interventions (often in collaboration with industry partners).

The aim of the launch event will be to connect with people working in this space throughout the university, and to discuss our common interests – the majority of the session will be devoted to discussing what all participants would want DIG to offer them (over plenty of refreshments).

Please let us know if you intend to the event by reserving a ticket on Eventbrite. A more detailed itenary is available in the event description.

If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
