The University Menopause Working Group are organising drop-in sessions and Safe Listening Spaces to bring together those affected by menopause.
Menopause Working Group Drop-In
The University Menopause Working Group would like to invite colleagues on Wednesday 17 May to drop-in and share experiences over some light refreshments. It is also an opportunity to meet with staff who are working to improve the experience of those impacted by menopause. The drop-in session will take place on Wednesday 17 May 2023, 13:30-15:30 in the John Roberts room (JRR) there is no need to book a place. Please do take this opportunity to come and meet with us and each other. We will be holding a similar event on World Menopause day on the Wednesday 18 October 2023.
Safe Listening Spaces
Staff and PGRs affected by menopause are invited to join the Menopause Safe Listening Space on Monday 5 June 10:00-11:00 via Teams.
Menopause Safe Listening Spaces provide an opportunity for confidential, open discussion focused on lived experience in a safe environment. Safe Listening Spaces will be held via Teams, and will not be recorded to protect the confidentially of attendees. Key themes arising from the sessions will be anonymously shared with the working group to support future projects to create a more inclusive University community.

Safe Listening Spaces provide a space for open discussion of lived experience rather than for sharing professional or expert knowledge. If you would like to enhance your knowledge on menopause, then training is available for all staff.
