This summer, the “Bringing research to life” Roadshow, organised by the Public Engagement with Research unit (PERu), is back on tour for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The Roadshow will visit a variety of regional events between June and August, to help researchers develop effective ways of sharing their work with the public and engage with new audiences.
The UoS Roadshow will be visiting the following events:
- Unwrapped Festival, Eastleigh and Hedge End – Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June
- Southampton Mela Festival – Saturday 15 July
- New Forest and Hampshire County Show – Tuesday 26 – Thursday 28 July
- Southampton Pride – Saturday 26th August
The roadshow aims to provide a research showcase for impact and public and community engagement, increase visibility to key partners, to engage a wide variety of audiences and connect researchers across disciplines.
The PERu team invite roadshow contributors to construct a “module” which can include one or more hands-on activities or small workshops. If you are a researcher, technician, student society or member of professional services at the University of Southampton looking to showcase your project or field of research, please check the FAQs for exhibitors and get in touch at [email protected].
