MyHR dashboard, the University’s employee and manager self-service for HR and Payroll, is moving to the cloud and will be called MyView.
System closure: 16:30 19 June 2023 – 17:00 27 June 2023
To migrate ResourceLink and MyHR data to the cloud, the systems will be closed for the period stated above.
Bank details
Changes can be submitted in MyHR dashboard until 16:30 on the 19 June; these will be implemented and confirmed for June’s pay day (30 June). HR and Payroll cannot accept email request during this period, so keep old bank accounts open until July and change in MyView.
Holiday and other absence requests
Submit and approve before 16:30 on 19 June. Requests while the system is unavailable should be agreed with your line manager and submitted retrospectively after the system re-opens on 27 June.
From 5 to 27 June 2023, the first line manager approval period will be extended from 7 days to 25 days. This ensures that nothing is stuck while the system is closed.
Appraisal
The appraisal online form will not be accessible during the HR system closure dates. Recording of the overall contribution descriptor and the entering of new objectives will need to be completed on the online form before the 19 June or after the 27 June when the system migration has been completed. However, appraisal conversations can still take place during the system closure period.
New URL
ResourceLink and MyView URLs will be published after go-live. Redirects will be introduced from the old URLs to the new URLs for a short period of time.
Benefits and functionality
Single sign on
We’re transitioning to a single sign-on for logging on to MyView, bringing us in line with other University Systems. Removing of security questions simplifies the login process. Also you no longer need to be on the University network/VPN for access, ensuring the system is easily accessible to everyone.
MyView mobile app
The new app allows you access to MyView flexibly, viewing and booking using mobile devices. In addition managers can authorise requests using the app.
Authorisation direct from Outlook
Requests from individuals, sent to managers via email, can now be authorised in Outlook. Viewing and authorising your team’s requests is quick and easy, without the need to log on to MyView. Following migration emails will be sent from [email protected].
Payslips
From April you will have already seen the new payslip functionality, providing quick view summary of latest pay, ease of navigation and printing, ability to compare payslips and a useful FAQ section.
Any questions?
Following the migration, the look and feel of the system will remain. However, moving to the cloud offers many benefits including reduced technical and maintenance costs, aligning us to the University’s cloud-first strategy.
If you have any questions about this migration, or ResourceLink and MyView in general, please get in touch at [email protected].
