From Wednesday 14 June – Friday 16 June, the Social Mobility Network will be hosting the Social Mobility Festival: an extended celebration of Social Mobility Awareness Day.
The 3-day festival will play host to several events, designed to further your understanding of social mobility. There will be space for you to share your social mobility stories with the wider University community, and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to shine a light on social mobility issues and celebrate working class culture, placing our student and staff lived experiences at the core.

More ways to participate – The Class Ceiling
If you identify as working class, or come from a working-class background, The Class Ceiling photography exhibition could be for you. The exhibition will be held at the John Hansard Gallery and aims to showcase the working-class experiences as lived by our student and staff community.
The Social Mobility Network is looking for photographs that capture and tell your working-class story, whether it is a family setting, work, education, hobbies, travel, or anything else. A selection of submitted photographs will be displayed at the John Hansard Gallery in November.
For more information on entry criteria, visit SUSSED to read The Class Ceiling exhibition article. To enter your photography into the exhibition, complete this photo submission form by Saturday 26 August.
