Lifelong Learning’s Humanities Evening courses return this summer, with an exciting array of topics. Bookings are now open for our June courses on Women’s literary greats, the History of Ukraine, the Art of Film making, and Historical Narratives of Winchester. Our October schedule is also available, offering Philosophy of the Mind, and How to write Poetry.
Alternatively you can take the opportunity to improve your linguistic skills by tackling a new language in our summer intensive courses. Taking place over five nights in early July, these 15 hour intensive courses are perfect for rapidly developing your proficiency in French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin or German.
Courses are built around an accessible yet intellectually stimulating curriculum, offering all attendees the opportunity to indulge their passion for learning, develop new skills and share perspectives on course topics.

Prices for Humanities courses are £115 and for the Summer Intensive Language Courses £140 for members of the public, and a discounted rate of £100 for Humanities courses and £125 for Language intensive courses is available to University of Southampton staff, students and alumni.
