As students begin to move out of halls and privately rented accommodation, the University is supporting them to remove and dispose of their unwanted possessions and rubbish in an environmentally-friendly and efficient way.
We have funded an additional rubbish collection, to take place on Saturday 1 July targeting the primary student residential areas, following an exercise with local resident associations to identify the roads to focus on.
The University and SUSU will also be encouraging charitable donations and food bank donations to help reduce the additional waste that is generated when the university students living in shared households move out of their accommodation.
Collection points have also been set up in halls of residence for unwanted items through the Recycling on your Doorstep scheme.
More details can be found on the information post for students.
