The power of universities

Reputation is a virtuous circle; the more we tell others about our successes, the more we will be recognised as a place where success happens, and this will inspire others to want to join us as staff, students, or partners.

Here at Southampton we inspire and empower one another to achieve the remarkable every day, and as a community we should have huge pride in our collective successes. Our people are our University; you are at the heart of everything we do and the powerful and profound contribution we make to society on both a local and global scale.

The Communications department have been working with colleagues across the organisation to turn up the volume on our success and showcase our achievements. As part of this work we have created a new brand video which was premiered by the Vice-Chancellor at an event during graduation, and we are sharing this across our channels from today.

We’d like to thank the many colleagues who contributed to the video – every conversation we had left us excited about the amazing work that is happening across the University.

Now we’d like to ask you to share the video across your channels and networks and tell them about the brilliant work that you are doing that is part of the University story. If you’d like to find out more about the advocacy opportunities available, please contact Allison Stratford or Irene Purdie.
