We’re delighted to say that this year’s undergraduate admissions process has been a huge success, with us coming out of Clearing on Friday 18 August at 1pm with the exception of a few programmes in Health Sciences, as is normal.
Our Vice-Chancellor, Mark E. Smith, said:
“This is a fantastic achievement, reflecting the quality of our university, and also the tremendous, professional effort put in by all those involved in the admissions and clearing process.”
The University entered Clearing on 17 August already in a strong position, with most of our courses already full. The remaining places were quickly filled with well-qualified students.
David Winstanley, Executive Director, Student Life, said:
“I’m delighted that we were able to provide a professional and responsive service over the vital August results period; swiftly filling our final places to meet our overall student number plan. Major changes to A-level grade profiles compared to recent years added a complexity that required a huge team effort before and during Clearing, for which I’m extremely grateful.”
The hotline is now closed, although applications remain open for Health Sciences.
