SIAH Public Life series returns welcoming Homi K. Bhabha

The Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities (SIAH) announces its first Public Life Seminar of the 2023/34 academic year: Homi K. Bhabha, the Anne F. Rothenberg Professor of the Humanities in English and Comparative Literature at Harvard University.

In conversation with Ryan Bishop (Winchester School of Art), the discussion will cover migration politics, ethics, language and aesthetics, systemic and iterative racism, postcolonial theory and thought, and art – all through the lens of what the ideal of ‘public life’ can mean to arts and humanities in the twenty-first century.

This online conversation will take place on Thursday 21 September, 15:00-16:00.
